*Media Alert* Los Angeles City; MAP ; FS ; In anticipation of heightened activity and the likelihood of fireworks-related incidents, the Los Angeles Fire Department's Modified-Coverage-Plan is suspended today. In addition to operating at full-staff the LAFD has 13 Brush Patrols deployed in brush areas and one Engine Company assigned to specific fireworks shows during their pyrotechnic display to provide community relations and immediate assistance in the event of an emergency. LAPD will handle fireworks investigations, complaints and confiscation's (LAFD will only confiscate fireworks in VERY SMALL quantities).
